FuelCell Energy’s DFC3000® system is the largest of the DFC® power plant fleet, capable of providing high-quality baseload power up to 2.4 MW with 47% efficiency. The power plant consists of six matched modular skids, and due to its innovative design, can be modified depending on the power requirements of the facility.
The DFC3000 can be used for on-site power generation, cogeneration and Combined Heat and Power (CHP). The system is especially suitable for applications with larger load requirements such as hospitals, universities, manufacturing facilities, wastewater treatment plants, and grid support.
The DFC3000 is the perfect solution for utility grid support. Multiple DFC3000 systems can be utilized to provide tens of megawatts of Ultra-Clean energy to provide grid support for utilities and eliminate the need to invest in costly and controversial transmission and distribution networks. And due to the easy siting, low impact, and low noise characteristics of Direct FuelCell power plants, the DFC3000 is also ideal for areas and neighborhoods where traditional electrical generation plants are not feasible or desirable. In states with Renewable Portfolio Standards (RPS) programs, FuelCell Energy's DFC systems can offer even more value.
